Quality Assurance
The Team of Study Program Quality Assurance Implementation (TPPMPS) is an extension of the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit (UPMF) which is responsible for implementing quality assurance at the study program level (PS). Quality assurance at the Informatics Study Program of FMIPA UNUD refers to the guideline of the higher education quality assurance system, which is an integral part of the implementation of overall quality assurance starting from the university, faculty, up to the study program level. Quality assurance is carried out in the form of an internal quality assurance system (SPMI) and an external quality assurance system (SPME).
Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI)
SPMI at the study program level is carried out as part of the implementation of internal quality assurance at the university level, which is carried out by the Institute of Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) UNUD (https://lp3m.unud.ac.id/). Activities carried out by LP3M UNUD in the framework of implementing SPMI are monitoring and evaluating learning, reviewing quality documents and SPMI training.
At the faculty level, SPMI is implemented by UPMF MIPA. This unit plays a role in controlling academic quality with the aim of continuously improving the quality of education in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. UPMF MIPA cooperates with TPPMPS Informatics to monitor and evaluate the learning process and provide input in order to improve the implementation of Tridharma of higher education.
At the study program level, the implementation of internal quality assurance is carried out by the Informatics Study Program Coordinator (KPS) in collaboration with TPPMPS Informatics, which is carried out in the form of monitoring and evaluating the learning process for each learning implementation. In its implementation, the implementation of SPMI at the study program level is carried out by referring to the quality assurance cycle in accordance with the guidelines for the higher education quality assurance system, which includes the stages of: (1) Determination, (2) Implementation, (3) Evaluation, (4) Control, (5) ) Improved Standards (PPEPP). For the implementation of this cycle, PS Informatics cooperates with UPMF MIPA UNUD. In addition to UPMF MIPA, PS Informatics coordinates with LP3M UNUD. As a follow up to the demands to improve the quality and suitability of the curriculum, the result was that the Informatics Study Program revised the curriculum. Previously, the 2013 curriculum became the 2016 curriculum.
In order to support quality assurance, PS Informatics FMIPA UNUD uses quality assurance instruments as a reference in implementing quality assurance, through the provision of quality documents including: SPMI policy documents, SPMI manual documents, SPMI standard documents, and SPMI forms
External Quality Assurance System (SPME)
SPME in Informatics Study Program is held regularly through Accreditation activities carried out by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). Previously PS Informatics implemented SPME with IAPS 3.0 instrument with 7 criteria where the accreditation rating of Informatics Study Program of FMIPA UNUD as of August 2016 was B Accreditation.
At present, there are two accreditation alternatives that can be undertaken by the study program, namely the first is reaccreditation, which aims to improve the accreditation rating and second, the conversion from accreditation rating based on IAPS 3.0 with 7 criteria to accreditation based on IAPS 4.0 (PerBAN-PT No 5 2019), with 9 criteria. There is a change in the accreditation rating based on the IAPS 3.0 accreditation instrument, namely the A, B, and C Accreditation rating to the IAPS accreditation 4.0, namely the Excellent, Very Good, and Good Accreditation rating.
If the study program wish to remain in the previous rating, the study program can convert the accreditation rating with the Conversion Supplement Instrument (ISK) based on PerBAN-PT No. 2 of 2020.
