History
The Informatics Study Program was originally called the Computer Science Study Program. Starting from the Senate approval of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University on August 13, 2005 concerning the Establishment of a Computer Science Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University which was then continued to the University level through the approval of the Udayana University Leadership Meeting on September 15, 2005 which approved the establishment of the Computer Science Department at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Unud. .
On April 12, 2006 a Computer Science Study Program License was issued from DIRJEN DIKTI with DIKTI Decree No. 1193 / D / T / 2006 which is valid for 2 years starting from the first academic year, then the Department / PS. Computer science FMIPA UNUD officially held lectures for first generation students (2006/2007 academic year) on September 3, 2006. In 2012, there was a change in the name of Computer Science Study Program to Informatics Engineering Study Program based on the Higher Education Law No. 12 of 2012, article 10 concerning the arrangement of knowledge clusters.
Based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 574 / M / 2020 dated 11 June 2020, the name of the Informatics Engineering Study Program was changed to Informatics Study Program.
