User Interaction and Experience
User Interaction and Experience
User Interaction and Experience Specialization Track
A specialization track focusing on interaction design, user experience, digital interfaces, interactive systems, and usability evaluation for web, mobile, game, and digital media applications.
What is User Interaction and Experience?
User Interaction and Experience is a field of Informatics that studies how users interact with digital systems and how applications can be designed to be easy to use, comfortable, effective, and aligned with user needs.
Through this specialization track, students will learn interaction design, interactive system programming, mixed reality, augmented reality, virtual reality, statistical methods for human-computer interaction, design-oriented HCI approaches, and usability testing.
Main Areas of Study
Interaction Design
Learning how to design interaction flows between users and systems so they are easier to understand and use.
User Experience
Studying how users feel, understand, and evaluate their experience when using digital products.
Interactive Systems
Learning the development of systems that allow users to interact directly through digital interfaces.
Usability Testing
Understanding evaluation methods used to assess whether a system is easy to use, efficient, and aligned with user needs.
Examples of Applications
User Interaction and Experience is essential in developing digital products that are user-centered and focused on the quality of user experience.
