OPTIMUS (Official Program for Informatic Major to Upgrade Solidarity) 2026

OPTIMUS (Official Program for Informatics Departments to Enhance Solidarity) 2026 is a work program participated in by Informatics Department students as a forum to build camaraderie, foster solidarity, and foster creativity among new students. This year, OPTIMUS carries the theme "Tracing the Path, Establishing Bonds," which serves as the first step for new students in identifying and exploring their academic paths. This theme also emphasizes that the world of informatics is not solely built on systems and logic, but requires collaboration between individuals from diverse backgrounds to build solidarity, support each other, and create a harmonious and progressive campus environment.

The initial series of activities was carried out through the Talent and Interest Development phase on August 22–23, 2026, at the Udayana University BG Building. This phase served as a first step for HIMA officials and SIC to map the potential soft and hard skills of participants. Data collection was conducted in an integrated manner through the HIMAIF Udayana website.

Entering the main activities, OPTIMUS was held in three regular meetings. On Optimus Day 1, held on October 3, 2026, in the Nusantara Room of the Agrocomplex Building, participants were given a comprehensive understanding of the lecture system by a commission lecturer, an introduction to student organizations, and campus etiquette and etiquette. Optimus Day 2, held on October 10, 2026, in the building's Lecture Hall, featured a presentation on the basics of HTML and CSS, highlighting the importance of learning the fundamentals of website development in today's era of artificial intelligence (AI). This session was followed by a hands-on training session, which also addressed the challenges of website development. On this occasion, new students also participated in a sharing session with Gede Tanok Arta Wijaya (Bagusde), Founder and AI Engineer at Bagus Technologies. He presented on careers in Informatics and strategies for students to identify their interests early in their studies.

The culminating event, Optimus Day 3, held on October 17, 2026, again took place in the BG Building. Participants showcased their Project-Based Learning projects and participated in various games designed to reflect on the material and strengthen teamwork. The series of events concluded with the symbolic inauguration of new students as part of the Udayana Informatics Family. Through the OPTIMUS 2026 program, it is hoped that new students will be better prepared for campus life, understand academic norms, and develop a strong sense of camaraderie to grow together within the Informatics Study Program.
