Himpunan Mahasiswa Informatika (HIMAIF) at Udayana University will organize INVENTION, a national-level informatics festival and competition. This event aims to instill conceptual learning methods in informatics and increase the existence of informatics as an essential basis for the development of increasingly sophisticated technology.

INVENTION is also intended to motivate students to learn and deepen their knowledge of computers. In addition, this activity is also a forum for strengthening relationships between higher education and secondary education to increase human resources.

In the INVENTION event, a national-level IT competition will be held for college students and high school students throughout Indonesia. This competition aims to cultivate a healthy competitive spirit among students and increase sensitivity and contribution to creative and innovative thinking.

INVENTION was first held on May 19, 2018, with the name BLCC (Bali Logic Computer Competition). This activity has now been upgraded into a bigger and more prestigious event, namely INVENTION, which is held at the end of October. In addition to the competition, INVENTION will also feature speakers, including students and alumni of the Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, who will present material that can inspire future INVENTION participants.

It is hoped that INVENTION can provide an opportunity for students to convey ideas or concepts related to problems in the field of information technology, as well as increase insight and enhance the creativity of Indonesian youth in working in the field of technology.
