Research Group Profile

About Digital Cultural Heritage

Digital cultural heritage refers to cultural heritage that is created, disseminated, managed, and preserved with the support of digital technology. In this context, technology plays an important role in shaping the understanding, interpretation, documentation, and preservation of cultural heritage.

This research group examines both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as the role of information technology in integrating, storing, disseminating, and preserving cultural information digitally. This enables cultural information to be continuously updated and easily accessed by the public.

The main focus of this research group is the transformation of tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge through the development of systems, applications, digital media, and knowledge platforms that support the creation of E-Cultural Heritage.
