Informatics Study Program
The MBKM Committee is a supporting unit at the study program level that assists in managing Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) or Impactful Campus activities, particularly in relation to registration, field suitability, and student credit conversion.

About the MBKM Committee

The MBKM Committee of the Informatics Study Program assists the study program in managing learning activities outside the study program or outside the university through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka scheme. This committee supports students in participating in MBKM activities that are relevant to the field of Informatics, aligned with learning outcomes, and eligible to be converted into academic credits in accordance with applicable academic regulations.

Responsible for assisting the management of MBKM activities in the Informatics Study Program, including the registration process, review of field suitability, and student credit conversion.

Role of the MBKM Committee

The MBKM Committee serves as a liaison between students, the study program, academic supervisors, and MBKM activity providers. The committee helps ensure that the activities selected by students are relevant to the field of Informatics and support the achievement of graduate competencies.

In addition, the MBKM Committee provides guidance regarding registration mechanisms, document requirements, activity selection, and the conversion of MBKM activities into courses or academic credits in accordance with the curriculum of the Informatics Study Program.

Duties and Functions of the MBKM Committee

MBKM Registration
Provides guidance to students regarding the MBKM registration process, including procedures, requirements, and required documents.
Field Suitability
Reviews the suitability of MBKM activities selected by students with the field of Informatics, learning outcomes, and graduate competencies of the study program.
Credit Conversion
Assists in the adjustment and conversion of MBKM activities into relevant courses or academic credits in accordance with curriculum requirements and academic policies.
Supervisor Coordination
Supports coordination with academic supervisors or course lecturers regarding the implementation, monitoring, and assessment of MBKM activities.
Document Verification
Assists in checking the completeness of MBKM supporting documents, such as acceptance letters, activity reports, certificates, logbooks, grades, or other relevant documents.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Assists in monitoring student MBKM activities and provides input to improve the quality of MBKM implementation at the study program level.

Types of MBKM Activities

Students of the Informatics Study Program may participate in various MBKM activities that are relevant to the field of Informatics and support student competency development.

Internship or Work Practice
Work-based learning activities in industries, institutions, startups, or partners relevant to the field of Informatics.
Independent Study
Independent or structured learning activities to deepen specific competencies such as programming, data, artificial intelligence, digital security, or other technologies.
Student Exchange
Learning activities at other higher education institutions to broaden students’ academic perspectives and learning experiences.
Research
Research activities that support the development of Informatics knowledge and the application of technology in solving problems.
Entrepreneurship
Activities related to the development of business ideas or digital products that enhance students’ innovation and technopreneurship skills.
Projects or Social Activities
Project-based activities that apply technology to support communities, villages, organizations, or specific institutions.

General Flow of MBKM Application

The application for MBKM activities is carried out through several stages to ensure that the selected activities are aligned with the field of study, academic regulations, and credit conversion plan.

Consultation
Students consult regarding their planned MBKM activities.

Registration
Students register for MBKM activities according to the applicable procedure.

Verification
The committee reviews field suitability and document completeness.

Implementation
Students participate in MBKM activities according to the regulations.

Credit Conversion
Activities are converted into relevant courses or academic credits.

Field Suitability and Credit Conversion

One of the main roles of the MBKM Committee is to ensure that the activities followed by students are related to the field of Informatics and support the achievement of graduate learning outcomes. Field suitability serves as the basis for determining the courses or number of credits that can be converted.

The credit conversion process considers the type of activity, duration, activity outputs, supporting documents, assessment from partners or organizers, and alignment with the curriculum of the Informatics Study Program.

Study Program Commitment to MBKM Implementation

The Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, is committed to supporting MBKM implementation that is relevant, well-directed, and impactful for student competency development. The presence of the MBKM Committee is an important part of ensuring that MBKM activities are carried out in accordance with academic regulations, support learning outcomes, and provide meaningful learning experiences for students.
