Expertise Groups of the Informatics Study Program
Expertise Groups, known as Kelompok Bidang Keahlian (KBK), serve as an integrative platform for lecturers with similar academic interests and competencies to develop scientific roadmaps, strengthen multidisciplinary research collaboration, and improve the quality of research-based learning.
KBK Computing and Intelligent Systems
Chair: Dr. Drs. I Wayan Santiyasa, M.Si
Focuses on the development of innovative, sustainable, and globally competitive computing and intelligent systems.

- 2028–2029: Development of AI research and international publications.
- 2030+: Downstreaming of innovation and development toward an excellence-oriented research group.
KBK Human-Computer Interaction
Chair: Dr. Ir. I Ketut Gede Suhartana, S.Kom., M.Kom., IPM., ASEAN.Eng
Focuses on user-oriented, ergonomic, and innovative Human-Computer Interaction to support humane digital transformation.

KBK Natural Language Processing
Chair: Dr. Anak Agung Istri Ngurah Eka Karyawati, S.Si., M.Eng.
Develops knowledge-based multimodal NLP that is explainable, adaptive, and internationally relevant.

KBK Machine Learning

Focuses on data-driven research to support cultural preservation, inclusive education, governance, and industry.

KBK Data Science

Aims to become a leading research group in data science that ensures data privacy, integrity, and security in accordance with global industry standards.

KBK Information Management

Develops intelligent knowledge management systems, digital heritage, and adaptive integrated information governance.
