SI-CATI Socialization: An AI-Based Academic Information Service Innovation in the Informatics Study Program
The Informatics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of academic services through the utilization of digital technology. This commitment is realized through the development of SI-CATI (Integrated AI Chatbot System), an innovation in academic information services based on Artificial Intelligence, developed by a lecturer of the Informatics Study Program, Dr. Made Agung Raharja, S.Si., M.Cs.
The SI-CATI innovation was introduced to lecturers and students through a socialization activity aimed at providing a comprehensive understanding of the system as a fast solution for academic information services. During this activity, participants were presented with the background of the system’s development, the benefits of chatbot technology in supporting academic services, and a live demonstration of how to use the system.
Through SI-CATI, users can easily access services by scanning a QR code or opening the provided link, then typing academic-related questions to receive instant responses. The system is designed to be accessible anytime (24/7), offering key advantages such as fast response time, ease of use, and accurate and reliable information.
Participants showed great enthusiasm, as reflected in their active involvement during the trial session, where both lecturers and students directly explored the chatbot features to obtain various academic information. The presence of SI-CATI is expected to enhance service efficiency, reduce reliance on manual services, and provide a more modern and responsive user experience.
This socialization activity was conducted with the approval and support of the Coordinator of the Informatics Study Program, as part of efforts to promote digital transformation toward technology-based academic services (smart academic services). Through this innovation, the Informatics Study Program continues to demonstrate its role in developing practical and impactful digital solutions for the academic community.
