Workshop (Sharing Session)
The Informatics Study Program of Udayana University, in collaboration with the Informatics Student Association (HIMAIF) of Udayana University, successfully held a Sharing Session Workshop as part of the SUPREMASI XIX celebrations on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Saba Theater, The Keranjang Bali. The event featured Putu Agus Dharma Kusuma, also known as Gusdhar, an experienced Mobile Developer and current Informatics Engineering Postgraduate student at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) and a Computer Science alumnus of Udayana University, as the keynote speaker. Themed "AI: A Threat or an Opportunity for the Next Generation?", the session was designed to provide both reflection and practical exploration on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be wisely utilized in students' academic and professional lives.
Through interactive and insightful presentations, participants were invited to understand the basic concepts of AI, from Machine Learning, Deep Learning, to Generative AI, as well as their various implementations already present in everyday life, such as recommendation systems, chatbots, facial recognition, and voice assistants. More than just theory, Gusdhar shared a practical approach to utilizing AI as a productivity partner, including how to create effective prompts using the Context + What You Want + Other Information formula, and emphasized the importance of a critical attitude in using AI output to avoid using it raw. The session concluded with a lively open discussion, certificate presentation, and shared documentation. Through this workshop, the Udayana Informatics Study Program hopes that its students will be increasingly prepared to become a generation that not only uses AI, but is able to control and utilize it responsibly to achieve their best.
